BRONCOS BOARD ANNOUNCES NEW GOVERNOR

Press Release

Swift Current, SK - The Swift Current Broncos’ Board of Directors has announced that Ben Wiebe has stepped down as Governor, but will still remain actively on the Board as a Director. Al Stewart will take on the role as the Board of Directors’ new Governor, while Mark Lamb has been named Alternate Governor.

Ben has been a trusted member of the Board of Directors since the return of the franchise and has spent 17 of those years as Governor. He has also sat on the Western Hockey League’s Executive Committee and served as chair of the Finance Committee

“On behalf of the board I would like to recognize Ben's tireless work as our Governor over the last 17 years. His thoughtful and level headed approach resulted in Ben being elected to the Executive committee of the league as well as serving as the chair of finance, and resulted in our team enjoying a very strong voice at the Governors Table,” says newly-named Governor of the Board, Al Stewart. “The respect and experience that Ben has earned over the years is invaluable to our organization and we are delighted that he has chosen to continue his work as a director of our club.”

Al Stewart has been an integral part of the Board of Directors for numerous years, most recently serving as Alternate Governor and Chairman of the Board.

“I am excited about the challenge that my new role offers, and I hope to be a strong representative for our organization,” adds Stewart.

The Board of Directors has also announced that Liam Choo-Foo has been appointed the new Chairman of the Board, while Kyle McIntyre has been named Secretary.
