Greco Selects Ohio State

Press Release

Urbandale (IA) The Des Moines Buccaneers are proud to announce that forward Anthony Greco has committed to play college hockey Ohio State University. Greco is now the 14th Buccaneer committed to a Division I program and the second to select Ohio State along with teammate Kevin Irwin.

“Anthony has worked hard to become a more well-rounded player,” said Buccaneers’ coach Regg Simon. “His speed is his best asset and Ohio State was looking for someone with that dynamic ability.”

Greco, a native of New York City, was acquired by the Buccaneers in a trade with the Waterloo Blackhawks last December and has accumulated 21 points (11g, 10a) in 43 games in Des Moines. He is currently second on the team in scoring.

Ohio State currently plays in the CCHA but will be moving into the newly created BIG 10 Hockey Conference beginning with the 2012-2013 season.
