OHL Announces Disciplinary Action

Toronto, ON - The Ontario Hockey League today announced the results of three separate disciplinary reviews.

Player Dean Pawlaczyk - Saginaw Spirit Hockey Club

The Ontario Hockey League today announced the results of a review of an incident which took place in a game played in Saginaw on the 6th of November, 2011 involving the Spirit and the visiting Plymouth Whalers Hockey Club.

The incident reviewed was a 5 minute major and game misconduct for checking to the head assessed to player Dean Pawlaczyk of the Saginaw Spirit Hockey Club.

Based on such review, it is the position of the League that player Dean Pawlaczyk shall be suspended for fifteen (15) games dating from but not including the game of Sunday, November 6th, 2011.

Player Alex O’Neil – Brampton Battalion Hockey Club

The Ontario Hockey League today announced the results of a review of an incident which occurred in the game played in Brampton on the 11th of November, 2011 involving the Battalion and the visiting Niagara IceDogs Hockey Club.

The incident reviewed was a 5 minute major and game misconduct for checking to the head assessed to player Alex O’Neil of the Brampton Battalion Hockey Club.

Based on such review, it is the position of the League that player Alex O’Neil shall be suspended for ten (10) games dating from but not including the game of Friday, November 11th, 2011.

Player Ryan Rupert – London Knights Hockey Club

The Ontario Hockey League today announced the results of a review of an incident which occurred in the game played in London on the 11th of November, 2011 involving the Knights and the visiting Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds Hockey Club.

The incident reviewed was a 5 minute major and game misconduct for slashing assessed to player Ryan Rupert of the London Knights Hockey Club.

Based on such review, and as a result of his actions including the slashing of his opponent, player Ryan Rupert shall be suspended for five (5) games, dating from but not including the game of Friday, November 11th, 2011.
