Screaming Eagles Make Moves to Roster

Sydney–The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles have recalled goaltender Francis Leonard-Mayer (1995-01-28) from the Gatineau Intrepid Midget AAA hockey club.

The 16 year-old native of Gatineau, Quebec was selected by the Screaming Eagles in the 5th round, 83rd overall in this past June’s Quebec Major Junior Hockey League’s midget entry draft from Outaouais Midget Espoir.

In 11 games this season with Gatineau, Mayer has compiled a 5-2-2 record with an .885 save percentage.

It is expected he will arrive on Tuesday in time for practise with the Screaming Eagles.

In an another roster move the Screaming Eagles have re-assigned defenseman Jacob Arsenault (1995-03-07) to the Miramichi Timberwolves of the Maritime Junior ‘A’ Hockey League effective Monday November 14, 2011.

Arsenault was the Screaming Eagles second round selection 21st overall in this past June’s midget entry draft. In three games, the 16 year-old native of Petit Rocher, New Brunswick did not register a point with the Screaming Eagles.

The Screaming Eagles will be back on home ice on Wednesday night at 7 pm against the P.E.I. Rocket.
