Spruce Kings Add Depth Up Front

Press Release

PRINCE GEORGE, BC – The Prince George Spruce Kings of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) have completed a trade with the Canmore Eagles of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) for Stefan Bazar in exchange for future considerations.

From Edmonton, Alberta, Bazar is a 5'10" 180lbs 19 year old right handed forward. In his second season in the AJHL he has played in 16 games with a record of 6 goals, 9 assists and 6 penalty minutes. Bazar played Midget AAA hockey in Prince George from 2006-2008 before moving with his family back to Edmonton.

"I'm excited that we were able to add a solid player like Stefan to our lineup," said Spruce Kings General Manager, Mike Hawes. "He is a good all-around player with tremendous speed and good offensive abilities. Adding Stefan improves our depth up front and gives us another offensive weapon."

Stefan Bazar is expected to arrive in Prince George prior to the team’s departure for Friday's game in Merritt against the Centennials. He is also expected to be in the lineup for the Spruce Kings next home game Sunday afternoon at 3pm when they host the Coastal Conference Victoria Grizzlies.
