Toronto, ON – The Canadian Hockey League today announced that Hunter Shinkaruk of the Medicine Hat Tigers is the CHL Player of the Week for the week ending November 5 after scoring seven goals and four assists for 11 points in three games.

Shinkarurk opened the week with back-to-back hat-trick performances including last Tuesday night when he scored three goals and added three assists for a career-best six-point game as part of a 10-2 win over the Everett Silvertips where he was named first star of the game.  Shinkaruk would be named the game’s first star again on Saturday night in Brandon scoring three goals in a 4-3 overtime win over the Brandon Wheat Kings.  His week wrapped up Sunday scoring a goal and an assist despite a 4-3 overtime loss to the Regina Pats.
