Bulls defensive duo sign NAHL tenders

Press Release

The North Iowa Bulls, proud members of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL), are pleased to announce that two more players have signed NAHL tenders.

Defenseman Ron Lindgren has signed an NAHL tender with the Amarillo Bulls of the NAHL’s South Division and defenseman Matt Fosdick has signed an NAHL tender with the Soo Eagles of the NAHL’s North Division.  Both teams are currently in 1st place in their respective divisions.

Lindgren, 19, was just named the NA3HL’s 3rd star of the week as he led the Bulls to two more wins last weekend as he and the Bulls are on the fast track to the West Division title thanks to a home sweep of Quad City.  The Janesville, Wisconsin native had five points (all assists) and was a +5 in the two wins.  On Friday, Lindgren (6’1/195) assisted on the game-winning goal in a 5-2 win over the Jr. Flames.  On Saturday, he recorded a season-high four assists (again including the game-winning goal) in a 12-1 win over Quad City.  For the season, Lindgren has 22 points in 34 games played and ranks 9th in scoring of all NA3HL defensemen.  “Ron is a guy that is normally a shut-down defenseman, but things fell the right way for him this weekend and he really did a good job contributing offensively,” said Bulls head coach Todd Sanden.

Fosdick, 18, hasn’t played for the Bulls yet this season, as he has spent the earlier part of the season with the Soo Eagles.  During the 2011-12 season, he played a portion of the year for the Coulee Region Chill.  Prior to that, the Brookfield, Wisconsin native played high school hockey in Wisconsin.
