Americans Add O’Brien as High Performance Consultant

 Kennewick, WA – Tri-City Americans Governor/General Manager Bob Tory announced today that the club has added Andy O’Brien as their High Performance Consultant for the upcoming 2013-14 season.  Andy will work with the team to help design and implement fitness and nutritional programs, as well as consult with individual players as to specific areas of focus to attain maximum results.

“I feel fortunate that Andy is willing to be involved with our program,” explained Tory.  “His expertise in the field of athletic performance is unparalleled and will certainly be a tremendous asset for our hockey club.”

O’Brien, the Director of High Performance at the Edge School and Duckett Performance Center in Calgary, Alberta, is a world-class strength and fitness trainer and has extensive experience working with elite NHL athletes.  His clients include NHLers Sidney Crosby, Jason Spezza, Gabriel Landeskog, Matt Duchene and Sam Gagner.  O’Brien has also trained players with the Florida Panthers, Miami Dolphins and New York Yankees, as well as Olympic swimmer Dana Torres.
