Magyar Commits to Rangers

Press Release

Kitchener Rangers General Manager Murray Hiebert announced Wednesday that forward Nick Magyar has committed to the team and has signed an Ontario Hockey League agreement. Magyar was the Rangers’ 12th round pick in the 2012 OHL Priority Selection.

Magyar spent part of the 2012-13 season with the Cleveland Barons U18 team, and was one of the club’s top scorers, recording 13 goals and 21 assists in 31 regular season games. Described by Rangers scouts as a gifted offensive hockey player with good hockey sense and solid puck protection skills, who possesses a heavy shot, he also scored one goal and added five assists in 27 games with the Sioux City Musketeers of the USHL last year.
