Chilliwack Bruins sign 2010 First Round Pick Keegan Kanzig

Chilliwack, BC -- The Chilliwack Bruins are proud to announce the signing of 15 year old defenceman Keegan Kanzig to a standard WHL Contract.

Kanzig, who stands six-foot-five and weighs 205 pounds, was chosen by the Bruins with the seventh overall selection in the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft. Kanzig spent last season with the Fort Saskatchewan Bantam AAA squad, scoring eight goals, 18 assists and added 56 penalty minutes while leading his crew to within one win of the Alberta Bantam AAA Championship.

“We’re really pleased to have Keegan join our organization,” said Bruins General Manager and Head Coach Marc Habscheid. “We feel that Keegan has a chance to be a key part of our team in the future and we look forward to working with him to help him reach his full potential.”
