Dieppe Commandos shakeup staff

Press Release

The Dieppe Commandos Hockey Club of the Maritime Hockey League announced today the hiring of Terry Keough and Jeff LeBlanc as associate head coaches. The Commandos are currently 5th in the Meek Division with a record of 2-10 after 12 games.

Ken Therrien will remain as an assistant. Jim Arsenault remains as a consultant with the Commandos organisation.

“Jim has been a valuable and loyal member of our organization,” said Jean-François Damphousse, Director of Operations for the Commandos. “We appreciate his dedication, the time and energy that he has put into our program over the past three years.”

Terry Keough has over 20 years of experience as head coach in the Greater Moncton area. He has coached at many levels including PeeWee, Bantam and Midget AAA. He has won at every level he had the opportunity to coach and will bring a lot of energy to the Commandos hockey team.

Jeff LeBlanc also brings in a lot of experience having played at a high level and having coached at the Bantam AAA and Midget AAA levels in the Saint John area in the past few years. Jeff is transferring from Saint John to the Moncton area with his family.

“We made the decision to bring in Terry and Jeff to try to shake things up and to bring a new voice to the dressing room. We feel that we have a good lineup and a great group of kids and we need as a group to find a way to get back on the winning track,” said Damphousse.

The Commandos will face the Woodstock Slammers on Friday at the Arthur J.-LeBlanc. Game time 7:30pm. The Commandos will also host the Pictou County Weeks Crushers on Sunday 2:30pm.
