Kings' Chyzyk named Player of Week

While he may be a rookie, Bryn Chyzyk is proving he can play like a veteran reflected in his selection as MJHL Player of the Week.

The Dauphin King forward held a hot stick last week, scoring three goals and recording six points in four games for his Kings who posted a 2-2 record last week. Chyzyk, 18, currently sits tied for first in the rookie scoring race with eight goals and 21 points.

Runners-up for the MJHL Player of the Week award were Evan Gravenor of the Winnipeg Blues and Cole Pruden, 20, of Winnipeg Saints.

Gravenor, 20, recorded five points (2-3) in two games for the Blues who play this Wednesday in Steinbach against the Pistons.

Pruden, who was recently named captain of the Saints, scored three goals and recorded five points last week in two games for the Saints who with 19 points are tied for second in the Addison Division with Winkler Flyers.
