McCauley traded to Peterborough

Press Release

Soo Greyhounds GM Dave Torrie announced late this afternoon that the Club has completed a deal with Peterborough Petes for forward MYLES MCCAULEY.

McCauley, a native of Sterling Heights, MI, returned home on Wednesday to await a trade.

In exchange for the third-year forward the Hounds receive Windsor’s 4th Round Selection in the 2011 OHL Priority Selection and Peterborough’s 7th Round Selection in the 2013 OHL Priority Selection (conditional).

Originally acquired by the Hounds via trade back in January 2010, McCauley started the 2010/11 season with 1 assist in 10 games played to go with a 0 +/- rating. In 152 career games played he has 43 goals and 34 assists for 77 points.

This marks the 2nd trade between the Hounds and Petes in just over a week after a deal involving goaltender Bryce O’Hagan was completed on October 13th.

The Greyhounds and Petes will meet for the first time this OHL season on Thursday, November 11th when the Hounds travel to the Memorial Centre in Peterborough. Game time is 7:00 p.m.

I would like to see this player return to the Soo team under the guidance of coach Stapleton again and see what he can do
