AJHL Announces 2011 Playoff Series

The Alberta Junior Hockey League today released the schedule for the 2011 AJHL Enerflex Cup Playoff Series between the Camrose Kodiaks and Drumheller Dragons of the South Division. The series will begin in Camrose, host community for the 2011 RBC Cup, on February 24th.

The top seven teams in each Division will qualify for the 2011 AJHL Playoffs. All series in Round One are best-of-five with the highest ranked seed awarded home ice advantage. The teams will playoff as follows: 2nd versus 7th place, 3rd versus 6th place, and 4th versus 5th place.

The first place team in each division receives a bye during First Round Divisional Playoffs. For a second consecutive season, the Okotoks Oilers have earned a first round bye as regular season champions of the South Division.

The Alberta Junior Hockey League will crown Divisional Champions in the 2011 AJHL Enerflex Cup Playoffs. Each division will playoff to determine a divisional champion at the conclusion of Round Three in the AJHL Playoffs. The North Division Champion and the South Division Champion will then compete in the League Final for the 2011 AJHL Enerflex Cup.
