Jacobson commits to Brown University

Sioux Falls, SD—The Sioux Falls Stampede are proud to announce that forward Ryan Jacobson has committed to play collegiate hockey at Brown University. He becomes the 14th Stampede player to commit to a Division I program this season.

The Greenwood Village, CO native is currently the Stampede’s leading scorer with 31 points (16g, 15a) and is a plus-7 in 42 games this season. He was recently named a CCM USHL midseason All-Star.

He leads the team with four game-winning goals this season and is third in shots-on-goal with 110. Jacobson spent last season with the Bismarck Bobcats of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) where he finished with 48 points (27g, 21a) in 57 games while leading the Bobcats to a league championship.

Brown University is located in Providence, R.I. and are members of the ECAC Conference. Former Stampede forward Jeff Prough (2003-04) played at Brown from 2004 to 2008.
