EIGHT MORE OJHLers CONFIRM COMMITMENTS

With the OJHL playoffs well underway now, player commitments to various NCAA schools has picked up steam. Here are a few of the most recent commitments over the past few weeks:

Kingston Voyageurs forward Lukas Ciotti has confirmed his commitment to play for the NCAA Division III Adrian College Bulldogs beginning with the 2011-12 MCHA season. Ciotti recorded 28 goals and 29 assists for 57 points to finish tied for 2nd on the Voyageurs in goal scoring and 3rd in overall scoring this season.

Newmarket Hurricanes forward Jeff DiNallo has confirmed his commitment to play for the NCAA Division I Clarkson University Golden Knights beginning with the 2012-13 ECAC season. DiNallo recorded 28 goals and 28 assists for 56 points to finish 2nd in scoring with the OJHL regular season champions, earning North-West Conference 1st Team All-Prospect honours.

Newmarket Hurricanes defenceman Luke Maw has confirmed his commitment to play for the CIS Lakehead University Thunderwolves beginning with the 2011-12 OUA season. Maw recorded four goals and six assists for 10 points this season for the regular season champion Hurricanes.

Georgetown Raiders forward Patrick Megannety has confirmed his commitment to play for the NCAA Division I Clarkson University Golden Knights beginning with the 2012-13 ECAC season. Megannety recorded 15 goals and 21 assists for 36 points, finishing 10th in scoring on the Raiders and earning North-West Conference 2nd Team All-Prospect honours.

Kingston Voyageurs forward Steve Perfetto has confirmed his commitment to play for the NCAA Division I Lake Superior State University Lakers beginning with the 2011-12 CCHA season. Perfetto recorded 16 goals, to finish 6th on the Voyageurs, and 33 points to finish 8th overall in team scoring this season.

Newmarket Hurricanes forward Braeden Rigney has confirmed his commitment to play for the NCAA Division I Canisius College Golden Griffins beginning with the 2011-12 Atlantic Hockey season. Rigney recorded six goals and 14 assists for 20 points to finish 14th overall in scoring with the Hurricanes.

Kingston Voyageurs netminder Wendell Vye has confirmed his commitment to play for the CIS Dalhousie University Tigers beginning with the 2011-12 AUS season. Vye would back-up OJHL Top Goaltender Charlie Finn this season and record a 4-5 record in nine games played.

Kingston Voyageurs forward Joey Wilson has confirmed his commitment to play for the NCAA Division I Colgate University Raiders beginning with the 2011-12 ECAC season. Wilson recorded 26 goals and 30 assists for 56 points to finish 4th overall in scoring on the Voyageurs this season.
