Oshawa's 75th Anniversary Game This Saturday!

Press Release

In recognition of the Oshawa Generals Hockey Club's 75 years of distinguished history, the organization is proud to be holding the first of four anniversary games, on Saturday, November 19th, 2011.

The event will feature a special opening ceremony that will include the unveiling of a commemorative banner and honouring select alumni and long standing members of the organization. The team will also be wearing one of their anniversary jerseys, a black and yellow design, for the first time this season.

Founded in 1937, the Oshawa Generals are the oldest franchise in the Ontario Hockey League and hold the most league championships, with 12 J. Ross Robertson Cups.

The night will feature special video productions on the jumbotron and numerous giveaways. Come and join the festivities as the Oshawa Generals celebrate the longest, most distinguished history in the league.

Further anniversary games will be held on December 4th, January 1st, and February 20th. The Generals will wear the black and yellow jerseys once more on December 4th and will wear red anniversary jerseys on the other two dates.
