T-Birds Sign U.S.-Born Defenseman Kevin Wolf

Press Release

KENT, November 11, 2011 — Seattle Thunderbirds General Manager Russ Farwell announced today the signing of U.S.-born defenseman Kevin Wolf to a WHL Contract and Education Agreement.

Wolf, a 10th round selection in the 2011 WHL Bantam Draft, lives in St. Paul, Minnesota, but played last season for the Chicago Fury Major Bantams.

Wolf currently plays for the Chicago Fury U-16 Midget AAA team in the US Tier 1 Elite Hockey League. The 6'6, 195-pound defenseman, has one goal, nine assists, and four minutes in penalties through 18 league games this season.

"I am very excited about joining the Seattle Thunderbirds organization,” said Wolf. “Training camp was very exciting and informative, giving me a chance to meet the coaches, staff, and players and learn more about the Thunderbirds program."

“I have been fortunate enough to play in a quality program with the Chicago Fury and look forward to continuing to work hard so I can take the next step in my hockey development with Seattle."

"We are extremely excited that Kevin and his family have chosen our program to continue his hockey development and education,” said Farwell. “Having Kevin sign adds a significant prospect into our organization for the future.”
