Vees Swing a Deal with Salmon Arm

Press Release sent to the World of Junior Hockey

Penticton, BC- The Penticton Vees Hockey Club has traded forward
Garrett Hendrickson (92) and the rights to forward Myles McCauley (91)
to the Salmon Arm Silverbacks for future considerations.
Hendrickson, 19, is currently in his first season in the BCHL;
collecting two goals and four points in 17 games with the Vees. The
Virginia, Minnesota native came to Penticton after completing his
senior season of high school hockey at Virginia High, where he tallied
72 points in 25 games.

“Firstly, I would like to thank Garrett for his contributions to the
Vees Hockey Club on and off the ice. Garrett is a quality young
individual and is going to an organization where he can play in a
top-six role and be a major contributor to the Silverbacks.” Said Vees
Head Coach & GM Fred Harbinson.

McCauley’s rights were acquired from the Omaha Lancers of the USHL,
where he picked up one assist in 10 games this season. The Sterling
Heights, Michigan native was a member of the Vees last season,
amassing 13 goals and 19 points in 23 regular season games. The 20
year-old McCauley spent parts of three seasons in the Ontario Hockey
League before coming to the South Okanagan last year.

“Myles was looking to make a return to the BCHL and be placed with a
team where he can be a go-to player. He understood our 20 year-old
situation in Penticton and I was happy to facilitate a move to find
him a home,” stated Harbinson.

The Penticton Vees Hockey Club would like to thank Garrett Hendrickson
for his contributions within the team and community. The Vees would
like to wish him and Myles McCauley all the best in their future with
the Salmon Arm Silverbacks.
