TRIO OF DUKES NETMINDERS CONFIRM COMMITMENTS

Press Release

All three Wellington Dukes netminders, Michael Doan (pictured - photo credit: Brian Watts/OJHL), Charlie Graham and Tyler Marble, are committed for the 2012-13 season.

Sault Ste. Marie native Michael Doan confirmed his commitment to join the Northern Michigan University Wildcats last season while a member of the NOJHL champion Soo Thunderbirds. Following a summer that saw Doan moved to the BCHL's Cowichan Valley Capitals, then back to Soo, before finding a home in Wellington, the lanky 6'5", 230 lbs. netminder has gone 2-1 in three games for the Dukes, recording a .934 save percentage.

Sixteen year old netminder Charlie Graham confirmed his commitment to join the OHL's Belleville Bulls this summer after leading his Don Mills Flyers midget squad to the OHL Cup Final. Selected in the 7th round of the OHL Priority Selection, Graham has already played in a game after getting the call from the Bulls this season, but will spend the majority of the year in Wellington. Thus far, Graham is 7-3-1 in 11 games played with his first career junior shutout and a 2.43 goals against average.

Tyler Marble, a native of Howell, Michigan, has had a long-time commitment to join the Lake Superior State University Lakers, informing the school of his decision back in the summer of 2008. After playing last two seasons for the Traverse City North Stars of the NAHL, Marble started 2011-12 with the defending SJHL champion Humboldt Broncos, before he was picked up by the Dukes. Thus far, the 19-year old netminder has gone 3-0 in three games for Wellington with a 2.33 goals against average and .933 save percentage.

Best of luck to all three the rest of the season and in their future career paths!
