Zlobin, Brunelle and Larocque-Marcoux named TELUS three stars of the week

Zlobin, Brunelle and Larocque-Marcoux were named today the TELUS three stars of the week for the period spanning October 31st to November 6th, 2011.

Shawinigan Cataractes left-winger Anton Zlobin is the first star of the week after having collected 5 goals. Against the Quebec Remparts, Zlobin finished the evening with a +/- of +2 with 2 shots on goal in a 4-3 win. Friday against the Victoriaville Tigres he managed his third hat trick of the season. He was named the 3rd star of the game.Sunday against the PEI Rocket in a 7-1 win he collected 4 points. His 2nd goal of the game allowed him to become the 1st 20-goal scorer of the league this season. He finished off the week with 5 goals, 2 assists for a total of 7 points and a +/- of +5.

Jonathan Brunelle, CapE Beton Screaming Eagles’ left-winger is the second star of the week. Thursday against the Val-d’Or Foreurs he made 8 of the 46 shots for his team he made 1 goal and 3 assists for a total of 4 points in a 6-5 win. He was also named the 2nd star of the game.Friday against the same team he scored one goal and added 2 assists for a +/- of +2 on top of being named the 3rd star of the game. He finished the week with 2 goals, 5 assists for a total of 7 points and a +/- of +2.

Finally, Val-d’Or Foreurs’ right-winger Nicolas Larocque-Marcoux is the third star of the week. His team played all three games on the road this past week. Thursday against the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles he scored 1 goal and made 2 assists for a total of 3 points. Friday in a 5-3 win against the same team he made an assist and scored the winning goal of the game with 15 minutes left to the 3rd period. Sunday against the Halifax Mooseheads he registered two assists. He finishes off the week with 2 goals, 5 assists and a +/- of +1.
