Campbellton Tigers add Coaches and Scouts

The Campbellton Tigers has announced several additions to the teams coaching and scouting staffs. The Tigers previously known as the Restigouche Tigers is rebuilding under new management.

General Manger Bernard Cheverie has announced Phil Nazair, a former MJAHL player who is currently living in Atholville NB just outside Campbellton has joined the team as Strength and Conditioning Coach. Dennis McNally, a former US college player and coach, who is currently living in NB has become Power Skating Coach and Denis Boudreau, a former MJAHL player, currently living in Campbellton, has become Defence Assistant Coach.

Head Scout Sam Foster has added to his team the following personal. Alexander Menard, a former MJAHL goaltender from Moncton and Curtis Thorne, also a former MJAHL goaltender, who is currently living in St.John’s NL Both will also advise with goaltending duties.

Also joining the scouting staff for the Tigers are Norm Lafrancois from Saint John ,NB, Paul Griffin from Newfoundland & Labrador, Shawn Green from Ontario and Nick McGown, a former MJAHL player now living in Western Canada.

Cheverie said he hopes to have word on some free agent signings to strengthen the team for the 2009-10 season shortly.
