Spitfires to host prospect camp

(Windsor) Windsor Spitfires Vice-President and General Manager Warren Rychel today announced that the team will be hosting a prospects camp on Friday, July 31 and Saturday, August 1 at the WFCU Centre. Spitfire draft choices from 2008-2009 as well as free agents will be attending the camp and participating in a fitness testing session as well as an on-ice practice on Friday from 2 – 6 pm. Saturday, the Spitfires will host a prospects scrimmage from 10 a.m. – Noon. Admission is free and the general public is encouraged to attend the camp on both days.

The team will also host a used equipment sale and photo opportunity with the Memorial Cup and J. Ross Robertson OHL Championship trophy on both days at Blades Pro Shop within the WFCU Centre. Men’s and women’s Memorial Cup merchandise will also be available for purchase as well as copies of the Spitfires’ 2008/09 “Dream Season” DVD and Yearbook package for $34.99 plus tax. Blades will be open on Friday from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Fans are also encouraged to attend a season ticket open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. Fans can view and purchase available seats for the 2009 – 2010 season.
