Mollard named OCN head coach

The Paskwayak Business Development and the OCN Blizzard Junior A Hockey Club are pleased to announce the hiring of new Head Coach, Jim Mollard.

Mollard will join the Blizzard later this month, as he and his wife will be relocating to the OCN/The Pas area as he will provide stability to the head coach position, as he signed a 3-year deal with the club.

The 48 year old Mollard is a Manitoba native, as he played with the Selkirk Steelers, before moving on to play with the WHL Brandon Wheat Kings. Mollard was drafted by the Edmonton Oilers and played with their minor league affiliate, the Nova Scotia Oilers. Mollard then moved on to the International Hockey League and finished his pro career overseas in Europe.

Mollard has a B.Ed. and coached the Brandon University Bobcats and in Europe. Mollard is referred as by many as a professional and is well respected in the hockey world.

The Blizzard are very proud with the selection of Mollard as new head coach as he will bring a lot of stability and respectability to the Blizzard organization.
