SilverBacks trainer Troy Clifford steps down from full time role

The Salmon Arm SilverBacks are sad to announce that Current Trainer/Equipment Manager Troy Clifford has stepped down from the full time position due to a Job promotion in his Paramedic career.

Cliffy just completed his 1st season with the Backs and notified the team today of his decision.

SilverBacks GM & Head Coach Troy Mick is sadden that Cliffy will be not be returning next fall in a full time capacity but totally understands his decision but happy that he will remain in a part time role.

“Cliffy is with out a doubt one of the best trainers in the game of hockey. His professionalism and work ethic is second to none. He will be truly missed and we would like to thank him for all of his dedication to the SilverBacks family. We are however thankful that he will still be involved with us in a part time role and that he will be involved to help us find his successor”

Troy Clifford says “It is with deepest regrets, I have had to make this tough decision to step down as trainer and equipment manager with the Silverbacks, although personal and work commitments have regrettably forced me to make the decision to take a step back, I can assure everyone in Salmon Arm that the Silverbacks will always be a part of me. I cannot express how thankful I am to Troy Mick and the Silverback Organization for the opportunity I have been provided, and I look forward to continuing as part of the organization moving forward ”
