This will be the third time the Wolves have hosted the Canada Russia Subway Super Series. The series was previously hosted in Sudbury in 2007 and 2010. In 2007, Team OHL won 4-2 with a squad that featured Steven Stamkos and John Tavares. In 2010, Team OHL won in a 2-1 shootout victory led by hometown hero and Buffalo Sabre Marcus Foligno.

The famous OHL Teddy Bear Toss will also return to Sudbury after a two year hiatus. When the Wolves score their first goal of the game, fans are asked to toss new teddy bears and stuffed animals onto the ice. Confirmation date to be determined.

The second  “Pink in the Rink” event will return in February. The Wolves held their first ever “Pink in the Rink” event back in 2010 and Wolves’ fans and the hockey club worked together to raise $35,000 for the Janis Foligno Foundation -  in support of the Battle against breast cancer.

Further details on all of the above events will be released in the coming weeks as the 2013-14 season schedule is released.
