QMJHL Pre-Season begins today

BOUCHERVILLE, Thursday, August 20, 2009 – Now that training camps across the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League have opened, the start of the 2009-10 pre-season is just around the corner.

Three games are on the schedule for the first night of pre-season action: The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles visit the Tim Hortons 4-Plex to take on the Moncton Wildcats, the Chicoutimi Saguenéens host the Baie-Comeau Drakkar at the Georges-Vézina Centre and the Shawinigan Cataractes take on the Montreal Juniors at the Colisée Jean-Béliveau in Longueuil.

The defending President Cup-champion Drummondville Voltigeurs open up their new campaign by battling the Lewiston MAINEiacs at the Marcel-Dionne Centre on Saturday.

Of note, the pre-season comes to a close on Sunday, September 6.
