BOUCHERVILLE, Monday, August 24, 2009 – Several teams made moves prior to the midnight trade deadline. The Chicoutimi Saguenéens traded goaltender Sean Coulton (91-03-21) to the Val-d’Or Foreurs for a fourth round pick in 2010.
The Saint John Sea Dogs sent Simon Groulx (92-07-06) to the Baie-Comeau Drakkar for a second pick in 2010. The Sea Dogs also acquired Marc-Antoine Gélinas (89-02-13) from the Gatineau Olympiques for an eighth round selection in 2010. Finally, they sent Matthew Stoddard (90-06-20) to the Halifax Mooseheads for a seventh round pick in 2011.
The Shawinigan Cataractes landed William Kane (92-11-18) by trading Mathieu Milse (90-02-10) to the Drummondville Voltigeurs. The Cataractes also traded a fifth round pick in 2011 to the Drakkar for François Lacerte (91-10-10) and Ryan Lagacé (91-05-07).
The P.E.I. Rocket acquired Éric Bouchard (90-05-02) from the Cataractes for a sixth round choice in 2011.
The Moncton Wildcats sent Zach O’Brien (92-06-29) to the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies for a fifth round pick in 2010.
The Baie-Comeau Drakkar traded an eighth round selection in 2010 to the Sea Dogs for Philip Richer (91-05-01).
The Quebec Remparts traded a fifth round pick in 2010 to the Lewiston MAINEiacs for Dany Coulombe (91-04-05).
The Victoriaville Tigres sent Vincent Tessier (91-01-14) and a seventh round pick in 2011 to the Foreurs for Jean-Sébastien Boucher (91-03-06).
