Pair of Dauphin Kings win MJHL awards

Press Release

Dauphin Kings’ veterans Shane Luke and Steven Shamanski have each been selected to receive major awards in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.

Luke was presented with the Lorne “Windy” Lyndon Trophy, awarded for hockey ability and sportsmanship. Shamanski was honoured with the Brian Kozak Trophy, given to the top defenceman in the MJHL. Prior to their game on Friday both players were presented with their trophies by MJHL Commissioner Kim Davis.

Runners-up for the hockey ability and sportsmanship award were Chris Reimer of Swan Valley Stampeders and Blake Chartier of Winnipeg Saints.

Runners-up for top defenceman were Dale Warkentin of OCN Blizzard and Zach Tully of Portage Terriers.
