Titans, Miners crowned NAPHL champions

The Southern California Titans (U18) and the Pikes Peak Miners (U16) were crowned champions of the inaugural North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) Championship Tournament Series today (Monday, February 15) in San Jose, Calif.

The Titans bested Omaha AAA Hockey in the U18 championship game in a shootout, 5-4, and the Miners downed the Carolina Jr. Hurricanes, 5-1, in the U16 finale.

Both Southern California and Pikes Peak also won the regular-season titles in their respective divisions.

It's pretty cool seeing a blog about Hockey on the Mini stage. I'm so use to hearing about the up top teams. The Olympians, the NHL'ers, The amature feeder teams. Not so much about the future of these teams. It's definatly nice to see.
