von ROSENVINGE COMMITS TO U-MASS

MARLBORO, MA-The Junior Bruins are proud to report that long time goalie Petie von Rosenvinge has accepted a full scholarship to play lacrosse at U-Mass Amherst. He will take his wares to the school and play for coach Greg Cannella and the nationally ranked Minutemen. They are currently ranked #1 in New England and #15 in the Country.

Petie has been a member of the Junior Bruins (Empire) for the past three years and has played for the Junior Bruins Summer program since 2002. It was in '02 that he first donned the black and gold on the 1992 Junior Bruins AAA summer team.

To date, Petie has a career empire record of 43-7-4 with a 2.19 GAA and a .905 save percentage, and was named to the All Star Team in 2009. Petie led the Empire league in goals against average a season ago in helping back stop the B's to their third straight Empire playoff title. He was most recently named as a player to watch by NHL Central Scouting.

After much consideration, Petie decided to forgo opportunities to pursue a collegiate hockey career and decided to concentrate on numerous scholarship offers from D-1 programs, including 3 of the current ranked Top 20 programs.
