CCHL Monthly Awards

The Central Canada Tier 1 Junior A Hockey League is pleased to announce the Corporate Hype Player of the Month awards for January. Nathan Pancelof the Gloucester Rangers earns Player of the Monthhaving just come off the Rookie of the Month honors for December. Pancel’s stellar play as of late has been a key to the Rangers success while their top scorer Andrew Creppin missed a number of games due to an injury. Pancel accumulated an impressive 21 points (15G, 6A) in 10 games during January and currently leads all rookies in goals with 26. Joe Yetman of the Carleton Place Canadians has been selected Goalie of the Month. Yetman led all goalies in January with an impressive 7-0-0-1 record as well as boasting a 2.1 GAA and .905 save percentage. He also currently is 14-8-0-1 for the season and sits tied for fifth overall in goalie categories with a 2.76 GAA and 8.98 save percentage. The Rookie of the Month for January is Zac Leslie of the Gloucester Rangers. The first year defenseman has definitely stepped up for the Rangers playing more crucial minutes on the back-end as a result of injuries to some of their veteran blue-liners. Leslie has also chipped in offensively picking up 10 points (4G, 6A) in ten games for the Rangersand leads all rookie defenseman in scoring with 26 points.

Goalie of the Month – Ben Curley (Gloucester Rangers)

Rookie of the Month – D Christian Weidauer (Carleton Place Canadians) and F Dalen Hedges (Ottawa Jr. Senators)
