Portage Terriers moving to the Addison Division was one of the many items handled at the recent MJHL Annual General Meeting held in Russell.
The defending MJHL champion Terriers will move to the Addison Division after playing for several years in the Sher-Wood.
Other highlites of the meeting:
* The MJHL will do approximately 100 games for the 2011 – 2012 season using the four-man officiating system
* The annual MJHL All Star event has been postponed for the 2011 – 2012 season. (A review will be undertaken to determine if the decision will be permanent.)
* The 2011 MJHL Showcase Venue will be the MTS Iceplex in Winnipeg and the event will be held on October 6, 7 and 8, 2011.
* Commissioner Kim Davis’s contract was renewed for three more years
* Winnipeg Saints have been approved to play their home games at the Winnipeg Civic Centre

The Junior A Supplement Pilot Project had a successful implementation in the 2010 – 2011 season and the second year of the mandate for the pilot project will be undertaken.
The World Junior A Challenge League Rep for Player Identification will be held jointly by Mr. Barry Butler, Head Coach and General Manager of the Waywayseecappo Wolverines and Mr. Frank Harding, Director of Player Personnel of the Portage Terriers.
