PLANT-ING HIS SEEDS AT HARVARD

Press Release

accepted a scholarship to attend Harvard University for the 2014-15 season. Plant will suit up for the Harvard Crimson of the ECAC Hockey League (Division 1 NCAA Collegiate Hockey).

Plant, from Penticton, split last season between the Warriors and the Penticton Lakers of the KIJHL.

He tallied 7 goals and 21 assists for the Lakers. While nabbing 2 goals and 1 assist, in just 4 games with the Warriors.

“The main reason I chose Harvard was because of the schooling and hockey program combination,” says Plant. “I have heard nothing but great things about the program from many people in the NCAA.”

Plant says Harvard sought his talents because of his offensive ability, vision, and hockey sense.

It also helped that he’s a straight A student.

“Adam is a very special young defenseman,” says Warriors Head Coach/GM Rylan Ferster. “He sees the game extremely well and has great poise with the puck. In the games he played with us he made an impact every time.”

“This year he will step in and be a player that can play quality minutes for us right away,” added Ferster.
