Rocket Appoint New Head Scout

Press Release

The PEI Rocket have made a change in their scouting department. It was announced today that Gilles Tremblay will be replacing Charles Marier as Head Scout of the Rocket.

Tremblay comes to the Rocket after scouting for the Victoriaville Tigres for the past five years. Before joining the Tigres, he coached and managed teams at the minor and junior levels for more than 25 years. He was a leader in building competitive teams in Victoriaville and he has great respect around the QMJHL.

Rocket President, Serge Savard Jr., says “Gilles is a quality guy that comes to us with great references and he was highly recommended. As soon as I met with him, I knew he was our guy. His strengths are his work ethic and organizational skills. He holds himself and those around him accountable and with these traits, he has identified some great young talent for the Tigres. The Tigres are disappointed to see him go but they knew he was ready to become a head scout and they didn’t want to keep him from his goal of doing that.”

Marier leaves the Rocket after many years of service and everyone in the Rocket organization wish him all the best. Savard says, “Charles scouted thousands of games and travelled thousands of miles for us. We drafted some good young players under his guidance as head scout. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours. “
