Cents Forward Brent Fletcher Commits to University of Alabama in Huntsville

The Merritt Centennials are pleased to announce the commitment of 21-year-old Brent Fletcher to the University of Alabama in Huntsville of the NCAA for September 2013.

In 158 regular season games with the Centennials, Fletcher finishes his BCHL career with 18 goals and 28 assists along with 110 penalty minutes. He also had 3 goals and 4 assists in 8 career BCHL playoff games with Merritt.

"We are very happy for Brent and his decision to attend the University of Alabama in Huntsville this fall. Brent was a tremendous captain for us here this past season. During the course of his three seasons in Merritt, Brent was an outstanding contributor both on and off the ice. He was instrumental in the rebuilding process of our organization and exemplifies everything we stand for," said Cents Head Coach and GM Luke Pierce.

Pierce continued, "Brent's work ethic and passion set the bar for our players here, and he'll be greatly missed in our dressing room and community. We wish him all the best in the NCAA and are confident he'll be a big part of the Chargers program."
