Hurricanes unveil new look!

Press Release

Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes unveiled their new look and new logo Thursday morning, officially witnessing the power and the “change” that has come to the organization for 2013-2014 and beyond.

In late 2012, the Lethbridge Hurricanes were informed by the NHL that they could no longer use their current logo. In the months and weeks that followed, the hockey club formed a committee; reached out to three different designers and with Reebok, helped create a new brand and a look that would last. Lethbridge Hurricanes Board of Directors President, Brian McNaughton stated that “we want a brand we can be proud of, that lasts, with integrity and authenticity.”  The Hurricanes feel this look represents the community, fans, players and it celebrates the passion, excitement and love for the game of hockey.

The Lethbridge Hurricanes also announced a new partnership with the Lethbridge Minor Hockey Association. LMHA General Manager, Keith Hitchcock was on hand to make the announcement that all Rep teams will be adopting a new logo on their uniforms and they’ll also be known as the Lethbridge Junior Hurricanes. “This is a really exciting partnership with Lethbridge Minor Hockey, not only as an organization, but for our players who will also reap the benefits of being connected to those kids who look up to them” commented Hurricanes Business Manager, Terry Huisman.

To help unveil the new logo and announce the new partnership with LMHA were Brady Ramsay, Russell Maxwell, Jamal Watson, Harrison Harper, prospect Jonny Hogue as well as four players from LMHA.
