Jets Agree to Terms with Austen Brassard

 The Winnipeg Jets announced today they have agreed to terms with forward Austen Brassard on a new contract. As per club policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Brassard, 20, played in 62 games with the Belleville Bulls of the Ontario Hockey League during the 2012-13 season. In that time, the Windsor, ON native recorded 33 points (14G, 19A) and 94 penalty minutes. He also played in 17 post-season games with the club for 12 points (6G, 6A) and 22 penalty minutes.

The 6’2 right-winger has played in 246 career OHL games between Belleville and Windsor for 147 career points (70G, 77A) and 288 career penalty minutes.

He was originally drafted by the Jets in the fifth round, 149th overall, in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
