Spirit Add Grit and Experience in Trade with Ottawa 67's

The Saginaw Spirit announce that the team has completed a transaction with the Ottawa 67’s to bolster the defense corps for the 2013-14 season. In the deal, Saginaw receives third year defenseman Sean Callaghan in exchange for the rights to forward Connor Graham and a 3rd round pick in the 2014 OHL Priority Selection, a selection which was originally owned by the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds.

Callaghan has spent the past two seasons with the 67’s at which time he appeared in 126 games, with 5 goals and 7 assists to go along with 188 penalty minutes. The Strathroy, ON native is a 1994 birth year, and was originally drafted by the 67’s in the 7th round of the 2010 OHL Priority Selection.

Graham was selected by the Spirit in the 6th round of the 2012 draft, 114th overall.
