Pats To Host WHL All Star Luncheon

Press Release

Regina, Saskatchewan – The 2011 Subway Super Series between the WHL All-Stars and Team Russia is fast approaching with the puck set to drop before a National Television Audience on Wednesday, November 16, 7:00pm at the Brandt Centre. Team WHL will be looking to avenge the loss of both games last year to a Russian squad who used the series as spring board towards their stunning come from behind WJC Gold Medal win over the Canadians in Buffalo, NY.

The Subway Super Series has become one of the most significant tools for Hockey Canada’s scouting staff in determining the roster for Canada’s World Junior team. The two games played against Team Russia are just days before Canada’s Selection Camp roster is announced so this is the last opportunity for the players to showcase themselves.

The Regina Pats will give Regina hockey fans the opportunity meet and to share lunch with the WHL All-Stars and Team Canada Head Coach, Don Hay as we host The Subway Super Series Luncheon on Tuesday, November 15th at the Hotel Saskatchewan Radisson Plaza.

Hockey Night in Canada analyst and Head of the WHL Alumni Association Kelly Hrudey along with Regina Pats Alumnus and the Honorary Team WHL Captain Jason Smith will be the guest speakers for what will be a unique opportunity to break bread with some of the most talented players in the WHL and future NHL Stars.

For only $500 you will receive eight (8) tickets to the Luncheon as well as ten (10) tickets to the Subway Super Series game to be played the next night. The first 22 tables purchased will also have one of the WHL All-Stars, or a member of the Team WHL Coaching Staff join them at their table.
