Coquitlam Express forward Cody Boyd has accepted an offer to play for NCAA Div. I Army starting next season.
Boyd, a native of Johnstown, PA., is in his first BCHL season and has posted a goal and seven assists in 23 games for the Express. The 6-foot-3, 195-pound forward has also recorded 34 penalty minutes on the season.
Army competes in the NCAA's Division I Atlantic Hockey Association against the likes of Air Force, RIT, Robert Morris and Holy Cross.
There are currently no BCHL alums on the Army roster but Vernon Vipes graduate Cody Ikkala attended and played four seasons for the Black Knights.
