Two QMJHL referees to attend CHL-NHL Officials Development Seminar

The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League is pleased to announce that two of its referees are participating in an Official’s Development Seminar conjointly organized by the Canadian Hockey League and the National Hockey League.

Active referees in the QMJHL, Jonathan Alarie and Olivier Gouin will participate in the seminar to be held in Toronto from November 28 to December 1.

During this event, the officials will work in Ontario Hockey League games and will be evaluated by Dan McCourt and Al Kimmel, Supervisor Referees of the National Hockey League.

They will also have the privilege of listening to the NHL Director of officiating, Stephen Walkom and to Bob Hall, who is in charge of Recruiting and Development of NHL officials. Dan Smith, who is in charge of NHL officials fitness, will give an on-ice session.

This seminar includes two referees of the QMJHL and WHL plus four referees and eight Linesmen of the OHL and is organized annually by theMemorial Cup host league.
