FLORHAM PARK, NJ – The Metropolitan Junior Hockey League is pleased to announce a thirty-six game schedule for the upcoming MJHL Thanksgiving Showcase, being held at the Champions Skating Center in Cromwell, Connecticut and the International Skating Center of Connecticut in Simsbury, Connecticut from November 29th through December 1st.
The Showcase, being hosted by the Connecticut Junior Wolfpack, begins on Friday afternoon with a matchup between the Philadelphia Junior Flyers and the Boston Junior Rangers. The Junior Flyers are currently six points behind the Dowd Division Frederick Freeze while Junior Rangers are currently tied with the Boston Bandits atop the Francis Division.
Other key matchups on Friday include the New York Applecore vs Philadelphia Little Flyers (4:45pm), Metro Moose vs Central Penn Panthers (6:10pm) and the Brewster Bulldogs vs Boston Bandits (6:45pm).
The highlight of the second day of action features the Central Penn Panthers facing off with the hosting Wolfpack. The Panthers currently sit in second place in the Dowd Division while the Wolfpack are among the hottest team in the MJHL and sit in fourth place in the Mullen Division.
Other key day two matchups to watch include the Brewster Bulldogs vs Philadelphia Junior Flyers (10:30am), New Jersey Rockets vs Philadelphia Little Flyers (12:30pm), Philadelphia Revolution vs Long Island Royals (2:30pm) and the Boston Junior Rangers vs Richmond Generals (5:00pm).
The final day of the showcase begins bright and early with the Royals and the Valley Junior Warriors facing off at 7:30am. The marquee matchup is a battle of former Dowd Division rivals when the Richmond Generals face off with the Central Penn Panthers at 11:30am. Other Day Three matchups to watch are the New Jersey Rockets taking on the Frederick Freeze (10:00am) and the Wolfpack taking on the Bandits at 1:30pm
