Clippers leading scorer Taylor lands deal to Union College

After a breakout season this year for the Nanaimo Clippers, forward Brendan Taylor has earned a shot to move up to play NCAA Div. I hockey at Union College in the 2015-16 season

This season, Taylor has achieved career highs in goals, assists and points. The 18-year-old from Nanaimo leads the Clippers in goals with 23, assists with 32 and points with 55.

He has played a total 167 games in the BCHL spanning over three seasons with his hometown team.

At Union, he will join a program that has drawn many BCHL alumni. Currently, there are six BCHL alums on the Dutchmen roster including Charlie Vasaturo, Matt Hatch, Daniel Carr, Matt Bodie, Cole Ikkala and Noah Henry

Next year, Ryan Scarfo of the Powell River Kings is heading to play for the Schenectady, New York-based school.
