Bitetto commits to Northeastern

The Indiana Ice announced that defenseman Anthony Bitetto has committed to play collegiately at Northeastern University beginning in the fall of 2010. He will return for his second season with the Ice in 2009-10.

The 6-2, 220 native of Island Park, New York appeared in 24 games for the Ice during the regular season and posted four points (1g, 3a) and a plus-seven rating. He played all 13 playoff games contributing three assists and a plus-five rating as Indiana captured the Clark Cup.

Northeastern University is a member of the Hockey East. Seven other USHL players from this past season have committed to the school following their USHL careers; Jake Newton (Lincoln), Garrett Vermeersch (Lincoln), Drew Daniels (Sioux City), Justin Daniels (Sioux City), Robbie Vrolyk (Sioux Falls), Clay Witt (Sioux Falls), and Chris Student (Waterloo).
