Jr. Trappers face RBC Cup champs in pre-season action

The North Bay Jr. Trappers will have 3 tough pre-season games against competition from the CJHL as the club prepares for the 2011-2012 season.

The Jr. Trappers will play their first pre-season game on the road as they take on the defending RBC Cup champion Pembroke Lumber Kings on Friday, August 26th at the Pembroke Community Centre. On Saturday the Jr. Trappers will return home for a rare 6 pm start against the visiting Nepean Raiders; with the Jr. Trappers playing their final pre-season game at home on Friday, September 2nd against the Lumber Kings.

“We are setting the bar high early by having our club play the defending National Jr. ‘A’ Champs twice in pre-season, and our players are excited about the opportunity,” stated Jr. Trappers President/GM Chris Dawson.

The Jr. ‘A’ Trappers open their main camp Monday evening with their first skate 7 pm to 9 pm at Memorial Gardens. The Jr. Trappers will continue with ice times at 7 to 9 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night at Memorial Gardens.
