John Oke Resigns from Petes Board of Directors

Press Release

The Peterborough Petes announced this afternoon that John Oke has resigned from his role on the Petes Board of Directors.

John Oke became a member of the Petes Board of Directors in 2002 at the same time as Jim Devlin, Wilf Hughes and Ken Jackman joined.  John was a very active member of the Petes Board of Directors throughout his term working closely with the Business Operations of the team including the Petes Store.

On October 7th, the Board of Directors met to discuss the restructuring of the Hockey Operations, at which time John Oke tendered his resignation in order to ensure there would be no actual or perceived conflict of interest with the increased role of Director of Player Personnel Michael Oke.  The Board met again on October 22nd where John’s resignation was formalized.
