Saints Forward Commits to Yale University

Dubuque Fighting Saints forward Frank DiChiara has committed to play collegiate hockey at Yale University following his USHL career.

The 19-year-old has helped the Saints to a perfect 9-0-0 record during his first USHL season.  He has collected six points (4g, 2a) and a plus-four rating.  DiChiara has scored a goal in each of his last two games, including the game-winner in the 4-2 victory over Des Moines on October 26th.  The Ronkokoma, New York native was selected by the Dubuque Fighting Saints during the 2012 USHL Entry Draft.
Six other USHL players are also committed to play hockey at Yale University – Alex Lyon (Omaha Lancers), Joe Snively (Sioux City Musketeers), Tim Bonner (Tri-City Storm), John Hayden (Team USA), Ryan Hitchcock (Team USA), and Patrick Spano (Youngstown Phantoms).

Yale University is a member of the ECAC and the Ivy League school has nine USHL alumni on the Bulldogs roster this season; Josh Balch (Chicago Steel), Anthony Day (Sioux Falls Stampede), Tommy Fallen (Cedar Rapids RoughRiders), Nick Maricic (Tri-City Storm), Andrew Miller (Chicago Steel), Ryan Obuchowski (Indiana Ice), Connor Wilson (Chicago Steel), Stu Wilson (Cedar Rapids RoughRiders), and Mitch Witek (Waterloo Black Hawks).
