Bismarck, ND--Bobcat Hockey is saddened by the passing last evening
of a family member and friend, former Bobcat Coach Chad Johnson in
Fargo at the age of 43.
Chad was the coach of the Bobcats starting in 2001 and led the
Bobcats to back-to-back Bourne Cup Championships in his tenure with the
Bobcats before moving to the FM Jets in 2004. Chad was also
an assistant coach with the Fargo Force before becoming the Head Coach
of the Lincoln Stars, a position from which he resigned just prior to
this season.
Chad was loved by all who knew him and will be remembered as a
winner at every level as a player and as a very talented coach. He will
be missed by the hockey community and our thoughts and prayers are with
him and his family.
