Dave Gust Commits to Ohio State University

Fargo Force forward Dave Gust has committed to play his collegiate hockey at Ohio State University beginning in the fall of 2014. Gust was the 8th overall pick for the hockey club in the 2011 USHL Entry Draft, 99th overall.

The Orland Park, IL native quickly earned a spot on one of Fargo’s top lines alongside teammates Alex Iafallo (University of Minnesota-Duluth) and Gabe Guertler (University of Minnesota). Gust finished his first season in the USHL fifth on the team in scoring with 30 points, netting 14 goals and adding 16 assists.

With Gust’s commitment, he became the 12th player from the 2011-12 roster to commit to play after his junior hockey career. Gust is the second Fargo Force player to commit to Ohio State University as former forward Alex Lippincott (2009-10) will be heading into his junior season next year.
